The options to choose between are countless: tiles; finger joint planks or solid wood planks, they can be arranged in different ways to create beautiful optical illusions (perpendicular planks; parallel; herringbone), with various options on how to assemble the floors for your venue.

We offer a wide variety of options for the planks themselves: ordinarily, one side of a plank is smooth, but the textured side is customizable for your needs: small-reeded; v-profile; herringbone just to name a few. My Tuscan Wood also offers many choices in terms of the variety of wood you can select: Tatajuba; Ipe; Garapa; Itauba, each individual style offering characteristics that make it unique. All of our materials are produced in Tuscany, between Livorno and Castelfiorentino (Florence), and are sold online to clients across the globe. Hardwood floors in restaurants and other public venues need to be strong, resistant and prove to be affordable and depreciable over time. The tropical wood varieties available through My Tuscan Wood are among the strongest and most resilient varieties. For example, Ipe wood has become one of the most popular choices over the past few years because it has proven to be one of the most resistant woods in the world; more compact and durable than Teak, able to resist and survive up to 25 years through bad weather conditions without being damaged by humidity. The natural rigidity and strength of the wood was originally a challenge for carpenters as many weren’t equipped with the necessary equipment to cut the wood itself. It’s this natural durability that makes it the perfect wood for floors that are heavily trafficked, frequently washed with heavy duty cleaning products and for environments susceptible to intense temperature and climate changes.

My Tuscan Wood hardwood floors are resistant to parasites and environmental stresses and we offer a fireproof treatment on our hardwood floors. We can also offer slip free planks according to European law UNI EN 13T411-1-2002 – categories A, B or C. Our wooden carpet and finger joint plank options are also certified by the Istituto Giordano.

The wooden rug, created as a walkway for beaches, can be created in any size and is completely customizable. The walkways are assembled with stainless steel screws and are ideal for outdoors. Double sided and reversible, it is perfect as a temporary solution.

Assembly and care

The tiles for cafes, restaurants and venues are easily assembled even by those who are unfamiliar with DIY, as long as you have an even foundation on which to assemble your floor. Our planks require minimal manual labor. My Tuscan Wood is happy to offer clips, wood oil and other accessories on request.

Follow our video tutorials to create the effect and customization you prefer, and if you have any doubts our staff is always available to consult. Our wood does not need upkeep and will remain strong and unaltered for years to come, assuming over time a greying color. If you want to maintain your hardwood floors’ original hue, treat it by hand with wood oil once a year.
